Extending Arlo camera battery life

Arlo products like Arlo Pro or Arlo Wire-Free both uses battery for their operational use but these devices are not intended to be used for continuous camera recording. According to the Arlo the battery in these devices are meant to be last for 4 to 6 months with 5 minute recording a day.

Here are some of the tips that can be used to extend the battery life of your Arlo device.

1) Always use the rechargeable batteries provided with the box try avoiding the after market products as these products affect both the performance and health of your Arlo Camera device.

2) Ensure you are using the latest firmware on your device. While updating firmware please ensure you connect the Arlo camera to the power socket.

3) Run Optimized or Best Battery Life power setting.

4) Homeowner should configure the camera for less recording time this will help them to preserve the battery juice.

5) Place your Arlo Wire Free or Arlo Pro Wire Free camera within in the range of the base station i.e. 300 ft or 90 meters so they never go out of range and have to search the base station.

6) Try not to place your Arlo camera setup in the colder places.

7) Do not place your camera in the low light condition as the infra red sensor have to work really hard results in consuming more power.

8)Avoid placing your Arlo Cameras near multiple WiFi routers.
